PeaceMaker was the primary project that I was involved with when I was at the Entertainment Technology Center (ETC). At the ETC, projects usually have an outside client, but students may pitch (propose) projects to the faculty. Asi Burak, the PeaceMaker producer, asked me to help with the pitch toward the end of our first semester because I had a programming background. We made it through, and I became the back-end (engine) programmer. PeaceMaker ran for two semesters. Then, Asi and Eric Brown created a spinoff company to take the game further. PeaceMaker has won awards and received a lot of press. Currently, you can play PeaceMaker for free. Remarkably, it still makes it into the news. I did the back-end (engine) programming both semesters. The game went through a few iterations, and we used Java to create the engine.
